History
Valuevo Palace is located in the Moscow region, in the Valuevo manor, which is a cultural heritage site of federal significance. Its name is associated with the surname ofthe clerk Grigory Leontievich Valuev, who owned the manor in the early XVII century. As early as the XIV century, the village of Valuevo was part of the large holdings of the noble family of the Valuevs.
At the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries, major construction work was carried out on the manor, and the main architectural manor ensembles were created during that period. At that time, the manor was already belonged to the Countess Ekaterina Musina-Pushkina, who was the heir to the village of Pokrovskoe, that was given to her with the peasants. The main principle of the manor complex construction and area landscaping was thesymmetry that can be observed in both large and small architectural forms, as well as in the regular French park laid out in the front and back courtyards. The main entrance was decorated with two pylons adorned with deer sculptures that appeared here in the 1860s,as well as a light cast-iron fence.

In the post-reform period, Valuevo shared the fate ofmany noble estates, changing owners and coming into the hands of merchants. After passing into the ownership of D.S. Lepeshkin, the Valuevo estate wascarefully reconstructed. Additional balconies and small, symmetrical one-storyextensions were added to the main house, expanding the building on both sides.Several structures were built in the park, including a water tower; metal lions"guarded" the house, and the main gates were rebuilt and adorned withdeer sculptures.
During the restoration repair of 1962-1964, the extensionsadded to the main house during Lepeshkin’s time were removed.
